Heimtextil 2027: What should upholstery fabric buyers prepare before the fair?
Prepare one sourcing brief before Heimtextil 2027. Give every supplier the same furniture application, quantity range and acceptance criteria so you can compare swatches and quotations after the show.
Start with the organiser’s published scope
Messe Frankfurt lists Heimtextil for 12–15 January 2027 in Frankfurt am Main. The organiser’s Interior Design page includes decorative upholstery fabrics and curtains. Use that scope to decide which meetings belong on your shortlist.
Make every sample traceable
Record supplier, reference, shade and construction on the sample itself. Ask for the fabric width and, separately, the usable cutting width. Note whether a weight refers to the face fabric or the finished backed fabric. MPW0245, a woven chenille with a published weight of 430 g/m² and fabric width of 142 cm, is one example of a reference you can record this way.
Leave with a decision list
Before choosing a supplier, request a written quotation on the same quantity and delivery basis for every reference. For shortlisted fabrics, compare physical samples under the same light and request the relevant test method and acceptance criteria for your application. Set one date to review the samples and quotes with your team.
