How to compare upholstery fabric manufacturers before a bulk order
Give each factory the same brief, then compare matching swatches, written specifications and how each supplier will check the bulk lot.
Give every supplier the same brief
Include the furniture application, the destination, approximate metres per shade, and the fabric width or backing needed for your cutting and upholstery process. If an end customer has a performance requirement, include the test method and pass value.
Check the swatch against the written specification
Ask for the reference code, usable width, fabric weight, composition and backing on the same sheet. Compare physical swatches in the same light. Ask which details apply to the sample and which will be confirmed on the bulk order.
Compare the approval process
Before ordering, agree which physical sample sets the shade and hand feel, what the factory will inspect, and how rolls and dye lots will be identified. With Tilon Tex, you can start by sending a reference such as MPW521 together with the use and quantities you need.
